In a rescheduled match from the 29th round, FC Lorient, ranked 17th, hosted Paris Saint-Germain, the league leader on track to clinch the title. Lorient, just 2 points above the relegation playoff spot and 3 points from safety, was facing a string of recent defeats, while PSG had just secured back-to-back victories against Barcelona and Lyon.

Right from the start, the Parisians imposed their rhythm and technical superiority, with Ousmane Dembélé opening the scoring in the 19th minute, beating FC Lorient's goalkeeper Yvon Bogo. Dembélé, in an impressive run of form, scored his 2nd goal in the league. Kylian Mbappé doubled the lead just 3 minutes later, making it 2-0 for PSG. Mbappé, having a brilliant season, netted his 25th goal, with an assist from Nuno Mendes.

Despite PSG's lead, Lorient managed to create a good chance from a set piece, but PSG's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made a decisive save to keep the score at 2-0 at halftime. In the second half, PSG continued to dominate, with Dembélé completing a brace at the hour mark, courtesy of brilliant work by Mbappé.

Lorient pulled one back through a goal from Mohamed Ba, but Mbappé ended any hopes of a comeback by scoring his own brace in the 90th minute, sealing a 4-1 victory for PSG. With this win, Parisians strengthened their lead and moved closer to securing the league title.

Meanwhile, FC Lorient will need to bounce back in their next match against Toulouse to try to avoid relegation from Ligue 1. PSG, on the other hand, could seal their 12th French championship title in their upcoming match against Le Havre. A victory that would confirm the Parisians' dominance and consistency this season
