Fantástico has obtained exclusive videos that lay bare an intense power struggle among some of the top leaders of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). The footage, secretly recorded inside prisons and later recovered by police from seized cell phones, captures heated arguments, direct threats, and a fierce dispute for power and money within the faction. In the opening minutes, regional bosses can be seen speaking angrily about corruption in the organization’s coffers and questioning the strategic decisions of Marcos Willians Herbas Camacho, known as Marcola, regarded as the group’s number-one leader.

The videos name heavyweights such as Rogério Jeremias de Simone, nicknamed “Gegê do Mangue,” and Fabiano Alves de Sousa, known as “Paca.” Both challenge the central command, demand payments to inmates’ families, and accuse fellow members of siphoning money from the faction’s “cash box.” At times the tension rises so high that leaders declare they no longer feel bound by the PCC’s statute, signaling a break in the code of obedience that had kept the group cohesive for years. According to investigators interviewed by Fantástico, this split was a key factor in the later execution of Gegê and Paca, who were ambushed months afterward in Ceará.

Beyond the leaders’ statements, the images reveal a sophisticated communication network inside maximum-security prisons: modern cell phones, internet access, and even real-time video meetings, all bypassing state-installed signal blockers. Specialists note that the faction moves millions of reais—estimated at more than 30 million per month—from drug trafficking, cargo theft, and money laundering. Each internal post is therefore highly coveted, fueling conflicts like the one captured in the footage.

The report also details how police gained access to the files. In joint operations with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, officers executed search warrants at fifteen addresses that served as PCC “cash houses,” seized hundreds of SIM cards, and arrested members in charge of the faction’s bookkeeping. The audiovisual material has undergone forensic analysis, been transcribed, and now underpins new indictments for criminal organization, money laundering, and homicide.

Finally, prosecutors and public-security experts interviewed by Fantástico warn that the internal war could escalate street violence, as rival gangs exploit the instability to fight for drug-trafficking territories. At the same time, the weakening of the chain of command may create openings for more effective state action—from fully blocking cell-phone signals inside prisons to transferring leaders to stricter regimes—in an attempt to curb the PCC’s power
