CNN witnessed how on Sunday the police used stun grenades and tear gas to disperse the crowd, and how some officers struck and pushed protesters while making arrests. Participants in the demonstration set fire to at least two self-driving cars. The entire downtown Los Angeles area has been declared an illegal assembly zone.
