There was a confrontation yesterday at Lubowa Police Station on Entebbe Road in Kampala involving military personnel from the UPDF and police officers. The clash occurred during a dispute over the arrest of civilians who had been detained.

Following the confrontation, some individuals were injured and taken to hospitals by police officers who claimed that they were trying to protect their colleagues who had been overwhelmed by the circumstances.

The military personnel and civilians involved are being urged to remain calm.
