- Concept of the Piece
Centered on a girl’s journey within a dream, the performance expresses Korean sentiment and the collective unconscious through dance, embodying natural imagery such as willow trees, wind, and vines. Messengers of death appear as gatekeepers between life and death. The girl wishes to awaken from her dream, but the dream endlessly transforms, drawing her back in. Ultimately, the entity unable to escape from this dream may be ourselves.

- Directorial Intent for the High-Angle Section
The black and white inside and outside of the Gat (traditional Korean hat) symbolize Korea’s unique Yin and Yang philosophy and dual identity. The repeated flipping of the Gat represents “flow,” depicting dynamic movement where light and shadow, life and death, past and future coexist. The figure longs to escape but wanders within familiar chaos. The girl trapped in a coiled dream is a self-portrait reflecting ourselves.
