Timo Boll is the best table tennis player Germany has ever had. For nearly 25 years, he has played table tennis at the highest level, reached number one in the world rankings several times, and won numerous medals at World and European Championships as well as the Olympic Games. Even injuries could only set Boll back for a short time.

But now it's over: The 44-year-old is ending his active career with a final Bundesliga match for Borussia Düsseldorf. It's time to look back on one of the most impressive sports careers ever – and above all, on one of the most likeable professional athletes.
