Ready to use, these disposable e-cigarettes are a concentrated blend of alluring flavors designed to target adolescents in particular.

Studies cited by Nozman shed light on a worrying trend: PUFs appear to be a gateway to nicotine consumption among young people. The enticing flavors and variety of scents attract an adolescent audience, unaware of the risks associated with nicotine addiction.

Indeed, each PUF offers approximately 600 puffs, equivalent to two packs of cigarettes. With varying nicotine levels, these products can quickly lead to addiction, especially among young individuals in crucial stages of growth. The aggressive marketing of PUFs targeting adolescents is strongly criticized for its detrimental effects on public health.

The planned ban of PUFs in France, expected in September pending approval from the European Commission, has divided opinions. While some view it as a preventive measure against youth smoking, others fear a shift of users towards traditional tobacco.
