The presenter notes that effectiveness doesn’t rely on the steel toe alone: the dense sole, cushioned insole, and side reinforcements distribute loads, prevent twisting, and protect against lateral crushes as well. He also warns that poorly fitting safety footwear can lose much of its advantage because internal gaps let the foot slide and strike the shell.
