This video has been trending in Austria, and Germany

Hello and welcome to a new post by Stefan from Aut Kimgau. It's really exciting right now because there is a power outage in Spain, and apparently also in parts of Portugal and France. This video is completely spontaneous, as I am actually on vacation this week - as you can see, I'm even wearing my casual clothes. But I want to give you all the initial information we already have. I also have a few speculations. So, let's see what's happening.

Lavanguar reports: 'A general power outage has left the entire Iberian Peninsula without electricity.' Users are also reporting difficulties accessing their mobile data. A sudden power outage has left businesses and households across Spain, Portugal, and Andorra without electricity. Reports suggest that this also affects parts of France. However, the power supply on the Balearic and Canary Islands seems to be intact.

The Spanish electricity provider Red Elektriker Espagnola announced shortly after 1:30 p.m., one hour after the incident began, that the power supply in the north and south of the peninsula is slowly being restored. The factor is crucial for the gradual restoration of the power supply.

It is remarkable how the frequency fluctuations around 12:33 p.m. are clearly visible. This could indicate that a sudden overproduction of electricity in Spain suddenly disappeared, as it is normally exported abroad. This leads to a decrease in network frequency and massive power outages.

Energy providers are actively working to restore the power supply, which may take some time. The exact cause of the outage is currently being analyzed, and all available resources are being used to solve the issue.

There are still many unanswered questions about this outage, especially regarding the situation in France and Portugal. Trains and subways were affected, and evacuations were necessary. The population is being urged to use car traffic only in emergencies, as traffic lights and road signs are not working due to the power outage.

It remains to be seen how long it will take for the power supply to be normalized. The situation is serious, but authorities are working to resolve the problem. We will continue to keep you updated. Stay safe and informed
