M23 leaders Corneille Nangaa and Bertrand Bisimwa receive cheers from Goma residents during a clean-up event organized by the Rwandan-backed group. Following their capture of Goma, the group is now advancing south into the neighboring South Kivu province as the United Nations reports that the escalating conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 700 people in less than a week.
