The third day of Week 4 of Stage 2 of the VCT Americas started with the clash between FURIA and G2, a decisive match for two teams still fighting for a direct spot in the playoffs. Right from the opening map, Ascent, FURIA displayed aggression with quick executions led by mwzera and Khalil, gaining a consistent advantage on the attacking side. However, G2 reshuffled their defense, utilizing OXY and JonahP's utility to delay Brazilian entries, and with a series of flawless retakes, they turned the score around in the last rounds, finishing the first half with a slim lead. After the side switch, G2 maintained their momentum, managing the economy well and securing the victory on the opening map.

The series moved on to Sunset, G2’s pick. FURIA responded with more measured setups and a solid defense from Quick anchored on the B site, forcing G2 to play almost always at the edge of time. Nevertheless, the explosive trades from OXY and penny gave the North Americans a foothold, taking the duel to overtime. In the extra rounds, qck’s clutch coolness made a difference, and FURIA equalized the series, leaving everything open for the decisive map.

Lotus served as the stage for the tie-breaker, and the tension was evident in the number of tactical pauses used by both coaches. G2 opted for constant rhythm variations, alternating quick executions through A with long defaults that punished the Brazilian defensive rotations. FURIA managed to close the gap thanks to two consecutive ultimates from Khalil, but G2 maintained superiority in reading the game, sealing the victory 2-1 and taking an important step towards qualification.

Next, LOUD and 100 Thieves put on a series marked by pressure from both sides: the Brazilians trying to consolidate their recovery in the stage, while the North Americans aimed to stay at the top of the table. In Icebox, 100T's pick, LOUD took control from the pistol round, with less dominating Sentinel spaces and Saadhak leading precise rotations. 100 Thieves took time to find their responses and saw the score slip away rapidly, culminating in a comfortable victory for the Brazilians.

However, the story flipped in Bind. Cryocells found space for open duels, diggsou dominated the bathroom area, and LOUD struggled to respond to the double Operator setup. Even with some isolated brilliant rounds from cauanzin holding off the retake, 100T took the map and tied the series.

The final chapter came on Ascent, where LOUD brought double control compositions that stifled the American executions. tuyz's aggressive reading in the middle provided constant information for the Brazilian IGL, facilitating coordinated retakes. 100T attempted a reaction with Bang capitalizing on ultimates, but LOUD sealed the deal at 2-1, a result that keeps their chances of clinching a direct playoff spot alive.

With the victories of G2 and LOUD, the Stage 2 leaderboard becomes even tighter, promising a thrilling conclusion to the group stage with multiple tiebreak scenarios and decisive direct matchups next weekend
